World Teachers’ Day

October 5th is World Teachers’ Day! This global event that started in 1994 by the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO). Our teachers at the private schools in Orlando are carefully selected for employment, and truly make a difference in our schools. Take the time to make your child’s teacher feel special.

Write a Card

Your child can show his appreciation for his teacher by creating a “thank you” card! Surprising educators with heartfelt homemade crafts will make them feel good, especially when the card is filled with genuine messages.

Buy Them Gifts

Being a teacher can be stressful. Show your child’s teacher how much she is valued with a gift card to her favorite restaurant or gifting her a box of chocolates. Or, have breakfast catered in the morning, so everyone can celebrate together!

Best Behavior

Children can sometimes have difficulty focusing or give their teachers a hard time. Encourage your child to go the extra mile and be on her best behavior. Tell her to focus, to not be talkative in class, do all of her homework, participate in class, and to not speak out of turn. Not only will this give her teacher peace of mind for the day, but it gives your child practice for everyday learning.

Shout Out on Social Media

Social media is a great tool to get the word out there about things you care about. Photography captures so many sentimental moments. Highlight the accomplishments your child’s teacher has made. Post them to your Facebook or Instagram. Be sure to ask the teacher’s permission before sharing! If the instructor doesn’t feel comfortable with their picture online, consider capturing a video of you and your child sharing your kind thoughts about the teacher. Don’t forget to hashtag #WorldTeachersDay!
