A History of Care
In 1960, Morning Star Catholic School provided a caring path for children who would have otherwise been denied education or institutionalized due to their disabilities. Archbishop Joseph B. Hurley called upon the Sisters of St. Joseph and St. Augustine to pioneer five Morning Star schools. These schools gave children with special needs the opportunity to learn and reach their potential then and continue to do so today. Now, students can attend the school for short-term intervention or remain at the school through graduation. This is just one of many ways this school continues to help children thrive.
