Bishop Moore Catholic Donates Much Needed Goggles
When Commissioner Robert Stuart reached out to Thomas Doyle, president of Bishop Moore Catholic, with a plea for goggles for Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Orlando Health Emergency Department, BMC was happy to respond with an enthusiastic yes!
Immediately, Mr. Doyle contacted Mrs. Mary Grady, one of BMC’s science teachers, and she went on a treasure hunt to find any supplies that might help, leading to a donation of more than 80 goggles.
“The generosity of Bishop Moore Catholic High School in donating supplies as we are facing COVID is a testimony to your mission of service and caring. The goggles you provided Dr Carlos Sabogal will be put to good use in our hospital system,” said Dr. Jose Ramirez, program director, Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship for Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children Emergency Department. Dr. Sabogal happens to be a current parent at BMC.
Mr. Doyle said, “This is who we are as a Catholic school. We must always be a beacon of hope and a demonstration of our Catholic values for our students and the community, especially in the darkest times.”
