The Bible often speaks of miraculous healing through Jesus Christ. During difficult times, we recommend these healing prayers for your child.

Our Faith in Him Heals
The Scripture includes more than 30 stories about God healing sick people. He cares about us and our wellbeing, and these stories prove that our faith in Him heals of our physical ailments. Here is a few Bible verse that illustrate His healing capabilities:

  • James 5:13–15: “Is anyone among you suffering? He should pray. Is anyone in good spirits? He should sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? He should summon the presbyters of the church, and they should pray over him and anoint [him] with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up.”

  • Exodus 15:26: “He said: If you listen closely to the voice of the LORD, your God, and do what is right in his eyes: if you heed his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will not afflict you with any of the diseases with which I afflicted the Egyptians; for I, the LORD, am your healer.”

  • Mark 5:25–29: “There was a woman afflicted with hemorrhages for twelve years. She had suffered greatly at the hands of many doctors and had spent all that she had. Yet she was not helped but only grew worse. She had heard about Jesus and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak. She said, ‘If I but touch his clothes, I shall be cured.’ Immediately her flow of blood dried up. She felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction.”

Jesus Heals Us Emotionally
God does not only heal us physically, but He also heals us spiritually and emotionally. Our emotional pain can be just as painful as physical pain. God is our greatest physician, as He heals us and makes us whole. Here are a few Bible verses that can provide guidance to being whole again:

  • Proverbs 4:20–22: “My son, to my words be attentive, to my sayings incline your ear; Let them not slip from your sight, keep them within your heart; For they are life to those who find them, bringing health to one’s whole being.”

  • Isaiah 33:2: “LORD, be gracious to us; for you we wait. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of trouble!”

  • Psalms 107:19–22: “In their distress they cried to the LORD, who saved them in their peril, Sent forth his word to heal them, and snatched them from the grave. Let them thank the LORD for his mercy, such wondrous deeds for the children of Adam. Let them offer a sacrifice in thanks, recount his works with shouts of joy.”
