Easter 2020 Activities
This year’s Easter celebration doesn’t have to be yet another egg hunt. The top Orlando Catholic schools have compiled a list of fun activities for your family to do once all the eggs are found. Perfect for all ages, these games will ensure your child has an amazing time during the holiday!
Bunny and Chick Checkers
For the child who loves board games, Egg Checker provides a unique twist on the classic game! After you all have dyed your eggs, you can recycle the egg cartons by turning them into little bunny checker pieces. Simply cut the cups off of the carton and decorate them like bunnies and chicks who will battle it out on the board!
Bunny Hop Sack Race
Put an Easter inspired twist on one of your child’s favorite outdoor games! All you need is a burlap sack and a fuzzy white tail. Then, it’s time to hop into the race! Divide into two teams, and hop to the finish line.
Charades
Write down words that players will need to act out, then place the notes into plastic eggs. Make sure the words are Easter-themed, like “rabbit,” “chocolate egg,” or “rainbow.” Everyone will take a turn by simply picking an egg and performing the word or phrase they selected. Of course, no speaking allowed! The player who guessed correctly keeps the egg and goes next. Whoever has the most eggs at the end wins!
Cornhole Toss
Everybody loves a cornhole toss, but you are probably wondering what this has to do with Easter! Paint your board with pastel colors that are perfect for the holidays. Decorate the bean bags with bunnies and chicks, then get outside to play and enjoy the spring weather!
Easter Egg Tag
Put a fun and competitive twist to a traditional Easter egg hunt by making it a round of tag. Skip hiding the eggs; tape the eggs and candy on a family member’s T-shirt. The whole family can run around in the backyard trying to snatch the goodies. Whoever snags the most treats wins the game — and gets to eat all of the candy!
