Faith-Filled Environment

The faith-centered environment of our schools is at the heart of who we are and sets us apart from other educational institutions. Through a solid, religious curriculum, taught by certified teachers with catechist training, and a focus on service to others, our students gain a deep understanding of Christ and our Catholic faith. They grow in their love and knowledge of Christ through daily prayer, as well as in the regular celebration of Mass, seasonal liturgical prayer services and events, and spiritual retreats.

Service & Community

We believe that it is in sharing our gifts with others that we truly show gratitude to God.  As such, our children are encouraged to share their time, talent and treasure in service to others. Throughout the year, they undertake a number of service projects, from collecting food for the local poor to visiting the sick and elderly to helping construct classrooms and teaching English to children in the remote mountains of the Dominican Republic. In 2018-2019, students in the Diocese of Orlando documented more than 180,000 service hours.

St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta Award

St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta was known for exemplifying the seven corporal works of mercy in everyday life. In recognition of her compassion, the Diocese of Orlando Office of Catholic Schools presents the St. Teresa of Calcutta Award to one Catholic elementary/middle and one Catholic high school in recognition of service projects completed the previous year. Throughout the years, several Orlando Catholic Schools have been recognized, with the most recent being Good Shepherd Catholic School and Melbourne Central Catholic High School, which were honored in 2019.
