Drive-Thru Safaris
A drive-thru safari is a safe and fun way for your child to experience wild animals up close and personal. Wild Florida offers that and so much more. Tour the Headwaters of the Florida Everglades, where you’ll be able to visit more than 200 native and exotic animals. Experience Central Florida in a whole different way by taking an airboat tour. Then, visit the Gator Park, where you get to meet Crush, the 1,000-pound alligator. It’s a fun and educational experience for the whole family!

Camping and Hiking
Pack the tent and some marshmallows. Camping is a great way to get out of the house and explore the outdoors. Experience camping grounds at our beautiful state parks, including Little Big Econ and Wekiwa Springs, where you can hike for miles. If you don’t feel comfortable just yet, set up camp right in your backyard! This is a safe and simple way to add a little more adventure into your summer.

Backyard BBQ
Perfect for the 4th of July, a backyard BBQ is a great way to celebrate with the family. Play fun games like water balloon fights or make your own slip and slide to beat the summer heat. Invite your child to cook with you so they develop those cooking skills while they are at it!

Driveway Drive-In
Set up a projecter in your garage and play your child’s favorite movies! Round up snacks and blankets to lay out comfortably in the driveway. Invite friends and neighbors and have them place their seats at a safe distance. By setting up a makeshift drive-in in your driveway, you add a unique and refreshing touch to a mundane activity like watching movies.

Carnival Day
Children love carnivals! Avoid the crowd by making your own backyard festival. Choose carnival games, such as ring toss and duck pond, to play. Make carnival food like funnel cake and cotton candy to munch on while you play. What a great way to bring the carnival to you!

Acting Classes
First Stage Theater Academy, the nation’s leading theater training company for youth, offers virtual acting classes. Summer is the ultimate time to pick up a new hobby — and who knows? Maybe your child will love it so much she pursues it! Register online and browse the available classes by desired grade level.
